IEC Code Registration

Import Export Code (IEC) is a 10-digit unique code that is essential for a business, or an individual, to export or import goods and services. The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India issues the IEC code which is valid for the entire lifetime of the individual or business under whose name it is issued. It is also known as IE License or Import Export Number.

The Import Export Code is required for the custom authorities to clear import shipments as well as for banks to transfer the payments.
