Once a business entity is registered, it is mandatory to obtain a Government License/ Permits. If you are a part of the food industry, for example, a temporary stall owner, travelling vendor, hawker, or a food distributor in any religious or social gatherings/ events, then it is compulsory for you to have an FSSAI Registration or FSSAI License before commencing your operations. However, a caterer, manufacturer, transporter, distributor of food product or any small food business is excluded.
